The U13 Boys ‘Just Sardinia’ Regional Tournament was yet another roaring success.

In total, 19 teams participated in both the Championship and Trophy events, and for the first time all the matches were live streamed, so those not at the event could watch at home or at work.

There were over 6500 viewing hits – quite staggering viewing figures for a junior tournament; half the number watching GB playing NZ at the Stoop!!

Over the weekend there was some outstanding hockey played in very competitive and closely fought games, and new friends were made for life.

In the ChampionshipUlster Tigers ran out as winners, with West Panthers second, and South Saxons third.

In the Trophy, West Panthers were the winners, with Team Solent second, and North East third.

James Evans (Ulster), a current UK Lion, was the outfield player of the tournament, and William Musgrave (West Panthers) the GK of the tournament.

We were delighted to host Gavin Featherstone who presented all the medals and trophies.

Our huge thanks to the Leeds Club, Hockey Today, coaches, managers, parents, and support teams, plus our hosts at the Nottingham Hockey Centre, for making it all happen. Another brilliant weekend of hockey for everyone involved.
