The principals of selection for the UK Lions.
The boys and girls have to play in the UK U13 Boys and U13 Girls Regional Hockey Championship.
The coaches will watch games throughout the tournament weekend and make unconscious bias selection in inviting players for the UK Lions.
Areas the selectors will be looking at.
- Athleticism:- Agility, speed, flexibility and endurance
- Basic and Enhance Core Skills:- First touch, accuracy and hitting
- Team Play:- Awareness, ability to be part of a squad
- Coachability:- Desire to improve, learn new skills and to be the best
