Sultan of Johor Cup
The UK Lions had a very strong presence in the Great Britain U21 team which made the Final of the Sultan of Johor Cup with six players – Jacob Draper, Ben Francis, Callum Mackenzie, Tim Nurse, Tom Sorsby and James Sutcliffe being part of the eighteen man squad.
The team finished with the Silver Medal after losing 2-0 to Australia in a very even and hard fought Final. During the tournament, played over eight days in Malaysia, GB were the only team to win all of their round robin matches but were just unable to reproduce the form in the Final that had seen them beat Australia 4-2 earlier in the competition.
